Bale Web Terms of Service

These terms govern access to bale-web.com and every feature offered under the Bale Web name. They apply from the moment you first use the service.
Eligibility

Your account

One account per person
Multiple accounts created to circumvent limits, trials or suspensions may be merged or closed without refund.
Nature of the service
Bale Web provides entertainment conversation with fictional characters. Nothing said by a companion is professional advice of any kind.
Companions are fictional
Every profile, name, image and biography on Bale Web is invented. No companion represents a real individual, and no resemblance should be inferred.
Not a substitute for professional help
Bale Web does not provide medical, psychological, legal or financial services. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.
Free plan
The free tier includes a daily message allowance and access to companion profiles. Its limits may change as the service evolves.
Paid plans
Paid plans unlock unlimited messaging, extended memory, voice notes and additional features described on the plans section of the site.
Billing and renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you selected until cancelled. The price shown at purchase is the price charged.
Cancellation
Cancel at any time from your account settings. Access continues to the end of the paid period and the plan does not renew afterwards.
Refunds
Where a payment fails to deliver the service purchased, contact support@bale-web.com and we will review the charge. Refunds outside that case are discretionary.
Price changes
We may change plan pricing with at least thirty days' notice. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you already paid for.
Acceptable use
Use Bale Web lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to use the service for harassment, fraud, spam or any illegal purpose.
Prohibited content
Content involving minors, non-consensual acts, real identifiable people, threats, extremism or trafficking is strictly forbidden and is reported where the law requires.
No scraping or automation
Do not use bots, scrapers, crawlers or automated scripts against Bale Web, and do not resell access to the service.
No reverse engineering
You may not decompile, probe or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts or source of Bale Web, nor bypass any technical limit.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you write. You grant Bale Web a limited licence to store and process your messages solely to operate the service for you.
Generated content
Replies are produced automatically and may be inaccurate, repetitive or inconsistent. Treat them as fiction, not as fact.
Our intellectual property
The Bale Web name, logo, design, code, imagery and companion characters are protected. Do not copy or reuse them without written permission.
Feedback
Suggestions you send may be used to improve Bale Web without obligation, payment or attribution.
Availability
We aim to keep Bale Web running continuously, but maintenance, upgrades and outages happen. The service is provided without an uptime guarantee.
Changes to the service
Features may be added, altered or withdrawn. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan offers, we will tell you in advance.
Suspension and termination
Accounts that breach these terms may be suspended or closed, with notice where practical and immediately where the breach is serious.
Your right to leave
You may stop using Bale Web and delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion is permanent.
Disclaimer of warranties
Bale Web is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Bale Web is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnity
You agree to cover claims brought against Bale Web that arise from your unlawful use of the service or your breach of these terms.
Third-party services
Payment processing, hosting and delivery partners have their own terms. We are not responsible for how those independent services perform.
Privacy
Handling of personal data is described in the Bale Web Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
Disputes
Contact support@bale-web.com first — nearly everything is resolved that way. Unresolved disputes proceed under the governing law below.
Governing law and severability
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment. If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Changes to these terms
Updates are posted here with a new date, and continued use of Bale Web after they take effect means you accept them.
